Independent TD Mattie McGrath has urged all interested Tipperary residents to consider making a submission to Tipperary County Councils new Development Plan. Deputy McGrath made his comments as the deadline for submissions will be reached on Wednesday 26 August:
“The Council have told us that that the recent Public Consultation Clinics on the Development Plan were more successful than they anticipated.
This indicates that there is an increasing awareness of the role that each one of us plays in making our voices heard when it comes to formulating a vision for the future of the county over the next number of years.
Whether you have a special interest in Tipperary’s heritage, environment, planning or zoning policy, I would encourage everyone to make their own contribution and thereby participate in the strategic development of the county.
It is vital that the views of ordinary Tipperary people are heard on whatever area is of most immediate concern to them.
Making a public submission is a key way to not only have your own voice heard, but it is also a way of reinforcing the Councils accountability to the people,” concluded Deputy McGrath.
Submissions can be made via the online submission form, email email@example.com or by post to Brian Clancy, Administrative Officer, Planning Section, Tipperary County Council by 26th of August 2015.
